Press Release: Eric Cheavers Redefines Traditional Portraits

“Intense color, unconventional composition and dynamic backgrounds” illustrate the bold approach that Eric Cheavers has taken in his refreshing new take on traditional portraits.  “Eric’s portraits capture families surrounded by their most treasured memories.”

Howell, NJ, July 10, 2009 /Press Release/ — www.EricTakesPictures.com

When inspecting his portraits, the viewer will notice is that Eric has enhanced the colors and details in his photographs so that they feel more like paintings.  In addition, the subjects are relaxed while the overall compositions are well structured.  Each portrait is digitally hand painted using new techniques that Eric spent two years developing.

Eric believes that families create lasting and durable memories in their home.  So Eric and his clients spend time discussing the best place to take pictures.  In addition, he asks his subjects to bring their most important and memorable possessions into their portraits.  Eric incorporates these items into the home setting knowing that these familiar items, with the home as a background, will spark memories for years to come.

Eric Cheavers started his artistic career as a painter and later moved to photography.  Initially, the camera was the tool that he used to record reality.  However, with the advent of digital cameras, he realized that the camera could be used to capture and create artistic images with vibrant colors that improved reality.  Eric’s portraits reflect his training and experience as a painter working in the digital age.
