Rev 6:7-8 Fourth Seal and Horse

So you have completed the last Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Tell us about this picture. (Part One)

After years of doing “happy” pictures, this picture was a challenge. We have a horse and riding on the horse is Death and Hades (Wow, what a change!). If Death were contained in a body, what would he look like? What would Hades look like? Death and Hades are not physical entities, hence the difficulty in showing them.

In these Horsemen pictures, we have the intersection of two realms, one spiritual and the other physical. Everything that we see, hear, feel, taste and touch is represented by the physical reality. However, in the spiritual realm, a battle is raging. In the book of Revelation, the veneer that separates these realms is removed.

The book of Revelation presents things that will happen in the future. You talked about this in the last two interviews. If these things are true, why does everyone ignore them?

I read a lot and I am always looking for new books. Yesterday, I came across this passage in a book of fiction called The Overton Window.

“A wave was coming, you see. This earthquake had released the energy of half a billion atomic bombs under the ocean and a tsunami was spreading out from the epicenter at five hundred miles per hour in all directions.” He took a moment to sample his tea and then set the cup back carefully onto its saucer. “The helicopter soon arrived and our party began to board. It was such a beautiful morning, everything seemed as though all was right with the world, and by every appearance all the people down on the beach were completely unaware of what was coming. I wanted to stay, and so we stayed. There were teenagers surfing, families walking their dogs along the sand, or boating, or flying kites; children were searching for shells with their buckets and shovels. I couldn’t look away; it was fascinating to me—the people down there either didn’t know or didn’t understand that something unthinkable was on its way to destroy them. “From the roof I watched the waters slowly pull back from the beach. They all watched as well. It must have been an illusion but it seemed the sea receded halfway out to the horizon. For every one of those people who turned and ran for higher ground there were hundreds who stayed, mesmerized as their impending doom gathered strength. “I was later told that there had been some form of warning system in place but it had failed, or that those in charge of the public safety had become so complacent that the red phones and radio alerts went unheard and unanswered. But I’ll tell you what I believe. “I believe those people stayed because they thought the fragile things they’d built would last forever. They looked at the breakwater walls and they trusted them. Nothing could breach those walls, because nothing ever had before. But when the seas came in it wasn’t in the form of a wave at all, it was an uprising of Nature herself, steady and swelling and ruthless and patient, completely oblivious to the frail constructions of mankind. And it was all swept away. My holiday was cut short, and two hundred and fifty thousand people in the region lost their lives.”[i]

The signs were there. However, for some reason, they were ignored, likewise with biblical prophecy. For example, those who read biblical prophecy prior to the 1940s understood that Israel would exist again. Nevertheless, even within the Christian church, many believed that this was impossible and whole branches of the church claimed the promises, which were intended for Israel, for themselves. However, in 1948 the theology of many churches was overturned. For the first time in history, a country which was erased from the roll of nations (even though the people were not) was born again approximately 2000 years later.

How does Israel figure in this?

The events in the book of Revelation assume the existence of the nation of Israel. In the next few pictures you will see that Jerusalem is at the center of everything. Today for example, there is no temple in Israel. However, there will be one. In addition, Jerusalem will be at the center of world events. Israel will be at the crossroad of major world events.

What is your next picture?

We are going to see a major persecution of Christians. I cannot say when this will happen. This is the focus of my next picture, unless, I decide to do happy pictures again.
